I am aware that I haven been blogging since a long time ago.
And all of these boil down to uni work and also I don't enjoy reading blogs which goes today I went to this place, I went out with who and who, and den did this and that. And thus I decided not to blog about such "huh blog= my timetable of the day"
Many mouth gaping things did happen these few weeks. But I shall mention just 1 of the incident that really ripped me apart and causing every normal flora to be agitated, blood bubbling and eyes dipped wet with anger.
Having almost more than 3/4 of the students failing, and only minority students to pass. This is the element I am going to continue harping about.
After ever lectures, there are heaps of practice questions at the back of the notes. And it was already mentioned at the beginning of the semester that these questions will be similar or the same as the test we are going to sit. And its a rather heavy test, as its worth 30%. 30% , yes 30% open your mouth let your glands salivate and peel open your eyes*
Knowing that questions were already giving, with no doubt no one is going to pour this 30% away. Especially in uni, where everyone are young mature adults, understanding that water poured out can never be re- gathered again. As for the others, I have no rights to say how they studied or mugged for the paper. But as far as I know, my surrounding friends reallly worked double triple hard for this paper. After the paper, I do reckon most people strolled out of the lecture hall, grinning from ear to ear whispering in their mind " yes this is gonna be a 30% worth of distinctions"
After patient wait for a week, the results were released.
"Is this real? I failed" "IMpossible, how can this be true" these were the only expressions rattling in my ears.
I really don't know what to say. No matter what yes we are just students who don't have much say in our exam paper. Because no matter what, the marker can always just tell you " as long as you are not fit to pass, you are not fit to pass, i can remark papers a hundred time, and its still a fail"
I herby declare I am not insulting anyone. Indeed I am showing my anger and unhappiness about this issue. I am not saying anything bad about markers not marking properly.
But people think about it, questions were already given, heaps of students are consistent studying people who does the questions really well, and left no blanks in the exam paper. Even if the answers ain't what the markers were expecting, but I really ponder to myself, how far can those answers be if it was direct from textbook? ha ! IRONY!
If textbook answers were crap to them, alright how far away can textbook answers be from the marking scheme to cause a pool of people failing?
Not having to spell things out clearly, I do believe people already could trace back the pathway and know where went wrong.
ARH! for 9800aud per semester... ANGRY~!
