I've always wanted to get a pet. Say another dog in Perth. There are such cute and lovely animals , too hard to resist having them.I was thinking hard today, the point of view from the pet dog. They don't normally have the choice as to who their owner is going to be. All they could really do, is to try their best to come out with the most adorable ,irresistable face from behind the glass enclosure. Its rather sad if you come to think about it.They get loved, and get pampered with heaps of care and tender especially when they are still a young tender puppy. THe innocence in their eyes is what attracts the attention of their owner. And not forgetting, the feeling of "freshness" given by the new puppy to the owner. What i meant by "fresheness?" there is probably a better word to use, but I just cna't come up wit any right now. For example : if a person never had a dog at home before, suddenly a dog is brought to their house as a pet, THATS FRESHNESS. Or for example an individual may had before other dogs, but he bought another breed today, THATS FRESHNESS. A feeling of something new, and better. ALso bette known as "xin xian gan" in mandarin. As weeks or if things are good, months go by, the puppy grows up to a full grown adult dog. It no longer is able to retain its authentic cutness the owner once captivated behind the glass cages. And in addition to that, the owner may also get bored of the existence of the dog, not only bored, probably, annoyed by it? This time the owner will start to slowly isolate the dog. Poor Mr dog, left in cold storage with no idea what to do next. Things may even get out of hand, if the owner gets another puppy which gives him a different sense of "freshness" as mentioned above. Poor Mr ex dog, is really now in cold storage. All mr dog could do now is to wonder and ponder to himself " what have I done wrong?" " how come my owner no longer turns his head towards me?" "why is my attention from 100 % to -1 %" " what exactly have i done, im useless, im no longer wanted, im cheated, im dumped" MR dog who used to think he is going to be his owner's companion till he dies turns out to be the opposite. This is no only a suituation of pets and their owners. I do reckon such suituation can be described between human relationships. Be it, husband and wifes, bf and gf, gays and lesbians, or even not string attached relationships. We humans always take for granted the tiny little things. Or sometimes we believe too much in ourselves that we are able to do it. For exmaple " IM SURE I CAN TAKE CARE OF A DOG? and love it for as long as it lives" or for humans " im sure she is the one i want to marry, im that very certain i will love her and no one else"
BUt never a time, we try to stand in the position of the others. HOw hurt they will be. How hurt the pets will be. If the owner has no more love for the pet, he should jolly well try his best to look for a better owner for him and not go get another dog ! If you have no more love for someone, just jolly well say so, don't leave things hanging there, letting people wonder all the time and feeling doubtful. Just like MR DOG in cold storage thinking what he has done wrong. This is CONFUSING.
